The Kansas City Chiefs have a deep roster, but these two studs might just steal the show this coming season.
Fans of the Kansas City Chiefs will look out for many marquee players for the 2022 season. Foremost among them is quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce. At the same time, we eagerly anticipate the development of young stars like offensive linemen Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith and linebacker Nick Bolton. Nobody can blame the Chiefs' fan base for being excited.
On the flip side, there are several players who can be key members of the 2022 squad but who aren't getting enough attention. There seem to be a couple of very productive guys on this roster. These same guys are not heralded much as potential contributors. Now let's see who these hidden gems truly are.

Chiefs Hidden Gems On 2022 Roster
2. Andrew Wylie
Andrew Wylie is surely not the biggest name on either end of the field. He's very good at his current position, but he may also be moved to right tackle before Week 1 begins.
Many teams have clearly overlooked the offensive lineman, who is in his sixth season; he is, however, entering this coming season with a lot to prove.
Kansas City OT Depth Chart
LT: Orlando Brown? | Roderick Johnson / Geron Christian | Prince Tega Wanogho
RT: Andrew Wylie / Darrian Kinnard / Lucas Niang (PUP) | PTW
Other possibility is
LT: Joe Thuney
LG: Backup RT / Nick Allegretti / Austin Reiter https://t.co/IjMuZ9vqQw— Jack Cavanagh (@javanagh87) July 13, 2022
After he spent his first two seasons in Kansas City at either right guard or left guard, the Chiefs forced Wylie into the right tackle position down the stretch in 2020. In 2021, he was the team's snap leader at the position and started all but one game from Week 10.
In that period, Wylie held his own against some very tough opposition. Maxx Crosby, a left defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders, failed to earn a sack against the Chiefs in either contest, while T.J. Watt, a defensive end for the Pittsburgh Steelers, mostly by playing over Wylie, failed to register a sack or quarterback hit in Week 16.
Wylie's experience in the system should come through. He gives his QB Mahomes a lot of protection and a bit of stability, especially with a lot of new faces to deal with this coming season.
1. Rashad Fenton
Over to the defensive side, Rashad Fenton is one to watch. Sure, he may have some competition since first round pick Trent McDuffie might expect to start at cornerback. If anyone can be up for the challenge, though, it should be Fenton. Even with so many personnel movements in the Chiefs' secondary, Rashad Fenton should not get lost in the midst of all of this.
The issue with Fenton is his health. Over the past two seasons, Fenton has started for the club as an outside cornerback on and off, depending on his health. When healthy, he has been useful in shutting down their opponents' passing offenses. He also didn't allow a single touchdown during the 2021 regular season.
Fenton just underwent shoulder surgery in the offseason and has been healing. That makes things interesting for youngster McDuffie to take over that starting position once he is prepared to return to the field.
Considering the three-year, $40.5 million contract that former Chiefs cornerback Charvarius Ward signed this year, Fenton is most certainly expecting. He is, however, approaching a contract year. Fenton has the will to put it all together before entering the market in 2023. Let us all expect him to be at his best in the 2022 NFL season.
