Football bettors are reportedly putting their money on the Kansas City Chiefs over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the upcoming Super Bowl 55, according to David Purdum of ESPN.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Chiefs are entering the title game as the favorites despite Kansas City technically being the road team against the Buccaneers. For one, the Chiefs ended the regular season with the best overall record in the NFL plus the fact that they are the defending Super Bowl champions.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and company have dominated the regular season after finishing with a 14-2 record to nab the AFC West Division title. They continued their stellar run in the postseason as they defeated the Cleveland Browns on a 22-17 win in the AFC Divisional Round.

The Chiefs manhandled another contending team in the Buffalo Bills back in the AFC Championship Game. Head coach Andy Reid's squad proved that they are ready for the title game as they won on a commanding 38-24 victory.

Meanwhile, the Buccaneers concluded the regular season with an 11-5 record for the second spot in the NFC South. Tom Brady and his squad eliminated the Washington Football Team in the NFC Wild Card Round on a 31-23 victory. They also defeated their division rival New Orleans Saints in the NFC Divisional Round by way of a 30-20 win.

Tampa Bay also dealt eventual MVP Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers with a tough loss in the NFC Championship Game via a 31-26 victory.
