New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, only as a precautionary measure, was limited in the team's Friday practice.

For what it is worth, New England doesn't play again until Monday night. When the schedule lines up like this, it has become the new normal for the Patriots to treat Tom Brady as such.

He's basically given off Thursday and only participated in a limited fashion on Friday. When the Pats play on Sundays, this schedule just goes back a day, as he would be given off Wednesday and allowed a limited practice on Thursday.

Point being: This isn't a red alarm situation. This is simply how New England allows Brady to function at this point in his career. It is a precautionary measure that allows the veteran some rest, as well as preventing him from going too hard during practices he's been a part of for over a decade at this point.

In his Westwood One interview Thursday night, Brady insisted Patriots fans have nothing to worry about.

“Just a little extra treatment, so I want to be full-go, ready to go on Monday night,” Brady said.

Brady has been dealing with a minor Achilles injury this season. Nothing that has prevented him from being as great as he usually is, though.
