The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to rebound after a tough loss to the Chicago Bears last week. On Sunday, they welcomed Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills to town, who were also coming off a disappointing loss of their own. It's been a close game, but everyone in Pittsburgh is focused on the injury status of Aaron Rodgers.
The Steelers signal caller exited Sunday night's game against the Bills. He was looking downfield on a designed play-action pass play. However, Bills pass rusher Joey Bosa sacked him from behind. The ball came loose, and Buffalo returned the fumble for a touchdown. Rodgers was clearly in pain after the play, and was replaced by Mason Rudolph. However, Rodgers did return to the game eventually.

Rodgers is in the midst of his potential final season in the NFL. Things began well, with Pittsburgh getting off to a 4-1 start this year. Unfortunately, the Steelers have now dropped four of their last six games. And they currently trail the Bills by a score of 17-6.
Rodgers has been okay under center this year. The future Hall of Famer has tossed nearly 2000 yards through 10 games. He has 19 touchdowns to seven interceptions on a completion percentage of 66.4%.
The Steelers currently hold onto first place in the AFC North. However, their spot atop the division is not secure. They could be tied on record with Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens after Sunday night. Furthermore, the Cincinnati Bengals just got star quarterback Joe Burrow back, giving them some hope at the end of the season.
Pittsburgh needs to win games down the stretch to make the postseason. Having Rodgers under center is vital for their effort to play football in January. To that end, seeing him return on Sunday night is sure to put Steelers fans at ease.
