On Sunday afternoon, the Pittsburgh Steelers hit the field at home to take on the Buffalo Bills in a key matchup for the AFC playoff race. The Steelers were looking to bounce back after last week's rough loss to the Chicago Bears, while the Bills were hoping to get back in the win column after a narrow Thursday Night Football loss to the Houston Texans last week.

Unfortunately for the Steelers, the injury bug manifested itself quite early in this one, with a key member of the defense going down in the first half and being forced to exit the game.

“LB Patrick Queen has a hip injury and is questionable to return to today's game,” reported Burt Lauten of the Steelers on X, formerly Twitter.

Queen did not return to the game before halftime.

The linebacker is a key member of this Steelers defensive unit, one that was much maligned to open up the campaign but has since (mostly) rounded into form as things have progressed.

Lately, it's been the Steelers' offense that's been holding them back, with Aaron Rodgers missing last week's game due to a fracture in his hand. Rodgers was back in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Bills, albeit with a large brace covering the injury.

In any case, up next for the Steelers at the conclusion of the Bills game is a key divisional showdown against the Baltimore Ravens next week in Baltimore. That game is set to kick off on Sunday at 1:00 pm ET.
