The Minnesota Viking having an interesting dilemma on their hands at the quarterback position that will be the center of focus this offseason. Each of their options at the position is set hit the free agency market where they could garner much attention around the league to potentially compete for a starting spot elsewhere.
This has left a significant amount of uncertainty surrounding Teddy Bridgewater's long-term future with the Vikings. According to Ian Rapoport of The NFL Network, the front office is expected to let Bridgewater become a free agent next month despite there being some kinks in his current contract situation that could have prevented him from going that route.

The decision to allow for the 25-year-old to hit the open market does show some sense of direction that the franchise is going to take. There was some dialogue in his contract concerning his inability to play for much of the last two seasons that would have kept Bridgewater possibly under a deal for the 2018 campaign, but the team looks to be willing to let him become a free agent.
Article Continues BelowIt doesn't' necessarily mean that the Vikings are looking to part ways with Bridgewater, but rather letting this process play out in a more clean manner. It will give them the opportunity to work out a fresh new deal without any issues arising from the previous contract.
This comes shortly after Minnesota has made the choice to not use the franchise tag on Case Keenum and instead let him also become a free agent. The front office appears to be set to not use that designation on any of their quarterbacks with eyes toward working toward a new deal with either of these players in free agency.Despite the injuries, Bridgewater has previously shown that he has the potential to become a viable starting quarterback in the league for the next decade that the Vikings could build around.
The only thing truly clear at this point is that all options will be on the table next month.
