The 2023-24 NHL season is officially over. The Florida Panthers are Stanley Cup Finals champions, and the rest of the league will now need to do what it takes to catch them. The Stanley Cup Finals were a thrilling series that nearly saw the Edmonton Oilers overcome a 3-0 deficit. It wasn't meant to be, though, and now the offseason is here. The offseason is necessary for all teams to add the players to their roster who can help them take the next step forward.
One way to add talent is through the draft, and the 2024 NHL Draft has plenty of talent to give every team's roster a boost. In this article, we will detail everything you need to know before draft day, which is now right around the corner.
When and where is the 2024 NHL Draft?
The Sphere, located in the Paradise suburb of Las Vegas, Nevada, is the new hot spot venue for the biggest events in the world, and it will serve as host for the 2024 NHL Draft. The draft will actually be the first event televised live from the Sphere. Round 1 will be on Friday, June 28 at 7 p.m. ET, while Rounds 2-7 will be on Saturday, June 29, starting at 11:30 a.m. ET.
The Sphere – which was opened in September of 2023 – has revolutionized entertainment. The exterior of the venue is the largest LED screen in the world. Inside is 18,600 seats and 160,000 square feet of LED screen that wraps up and over the audience, which come late June will be filled with diehard NHL fans. The screens are fully immersive and will bring the NHL Draft to never-before-seen levels of entertainment and fan involvement.
