Denver Nuggets forward Paul Millsap could miss up to three months after he undergoes surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. If this timetable proves true, the Swiss army knife would be a huge loss for the team, as head coach Mike Malone was just starting to better incorporate him into the system.
His absence could spell more minutes for Kenneth Faried, Wilson Chandler, and even bench star Will Barton, who will be tasked with a larger scoring load with Millsap out of the picture.
The 11-year veteran is fresh off signing a three-year, $90 million deal to join the Nuggets during the offseason and has averaged 15.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game through a semi-slow start to the season with his new team.

Paul Millsap was the cornerstone piece on an Atlanta Hawks team that just couldn't manage to go deep enough in the postseason, choosing to part ways with the dynamic forward after the arrival of new suits in the front office.
Denver will have to put a plan in motion in hopes of keeping a 10-7 start to the season in good shape while the team waits for his impending return.
