Denver Nuggets star guard Jamal Murray continues to make his ascent to the NBA’s elite.

After a tough loss in Game 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers in their Western Conference Finals series, he wants nothing more but to bounce back — and he showed that desire in the closing stages of Game 3.

Following a massive Lakers run to cut their lead to just three with under five minutes left, the Nuggets guard quickly took over and pushed Denver ahead for good.

First, he shook off Alex Caruso and banked the ensuing 3-pointer to give the Nuggets a seven-point lead with a little over two minutes to go.

Jamal Murray then put the nail in the Lakers' coffin with an incredible triple over the outstretched arms of Anthony Davis to extend their lead to 12 with less than a minute remaining.

Murray finished with a near triple-double with 28 points, eight rebounds and 12 assists as he helped the Nuggets cut the Lakers' series lead to just 2-1.
