Payton was suspended one season by the NFL in 2012 as a result of the “Bountygate” scandal in which the Saints were alleged to have been paying out bonuses to defensive players if they inflicted injuries on their opponents.
The film is rated PG and is being produced by Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions.
