Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid fell on the Indiana Pacers' Domantas Sabonis' ankle right under the two-minute mark of their game on Tuesday.

The video, as posted by Def Pen Hoops, shows Embiid going up for a rebound but was apparently pushed off by a Pacers player. Embiid eventually lost his balance in the process (no pun intended) and fell on Sabonis' ankles, who had his back turned.

Sabonis finished with three points and one assist in 11 minutes of action.

The Pacers eventually won against the Sixers, 101-98. While Sabonis' status still has to be examined, it seems that it does not look good for the 21-year-old forward-center. After all, Embiid's colossal frame adds up to over 250 lbs of muscle.

As an elite athlete, Sabonis' ankles are definitely fit enough to withstand some beating. But 250-lbs of weight applying immense pressure on them is something else.

Sabonis is currently in his second season in the league. He was picked 11th overall by the Orlando Magic but was eventually traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder on draft night. Come his second year, he was traded to the Indiana Pacers together with Victor Oladipo in exchange for Paul George.

The son of former NBA star Arvydas Sabonis, Domantas' potential is evident but unrealized. He was a standout at Gonzaga and has shown signs of a pretty decent NBA player in his two seasons in the league. Time will only tell if the injury he sustained will hamper him long-term, but here's to hoping that it's not as bad as it looked.
