The Tampa Bay Lightning swept the Florida Panthers in the second round of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Now in the offseason, members of the Panthers are weighing their options for the upcoming season. This includes Claude Giroux, who joined the team just before the trade deadline in March.

The veteran winger told the media that he enjoyed his couple of months with the Panthers. However, with the season coming to an end only a few days ago, he isn't ready to make any decisions on his future yet.

Panthers reporter David Dwork tweeted Giroux's optimistic yet realistic quote Wednesday morning.

Giroux added that he could see himself re-signing with the Panthers for the upcoming season, but again, said he needs time to make any decisions.

It's no surprise that Giroux has a lot to think about before making any decisions about his future. At 34-years-old, Giroux isn't getting any younger, and he doesn't have much more time to waste. Despite his personal success and 15 years in the league, Giroux has yet to hoist the Stanley Cup.

If Giroux decides to stick with the Panthers, he would continue to be a great asset to the team. Despite only playing in 18 regular season games for the Panthers, Giroux recorded three goals and 20 assists. The veteran picked up three more goals and five assists in ten postseason games.
