The New England Patriots were a surprising early exit in the playoffs this year. They lost to the Tennessee Titans in the Wild Card round, having made the Super Bowl in each of the previous three seasons (winning twice).

A big talking point all season long, was Tom Brady. 2019 was arguably his worst season in a very long time. It showed in the struggles the offense went through at times as well.

However, Brady still put up solid numbers, and did so with the worst supporting cast he had in a quite some time.

By the end of the year, the biggest question seemed to be where he would be next season. Would Brady retire? Or was he still hungry for another run at a Super Bowl?

Even if he did not retire, there was no guarantee he'd return to the Patriots. One team in particular that was thrown around often was the Los Angeles Chargers.

Brady seemed to make it pretty clear on his instagram that he would indeed be returning for another season in the NFL.

Not long after he was open to playing somewhere other than New England.

According to Andy Hart of WEEI, Patriots' owner Robert Kraft wants Brady to stay though.

This is sort of a no-brainer. Even a “declining” Brady is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He can still help a team make a serious Super Bowl push. I mean, he was the league MVP in 2017 and the Patriots won the Super Bowl in 2018.

Clearly, Brady can still go, and do it at a crazy rate.

It also helps that if the Patriots did not try to sign back Brady, there might be a full scale riot at Gillette Stadium.

Kraft and the Patriots plan to bring back Brady. And he's likely more than happy to return. Don't be surprised if this is resolved pretty quickly.
