New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore is one of the better cornerbacks in the league, and thinks that rookie wide receiver N'Keal Harry is going to be a big matchup issue for other defensive backs.

Gilmore went head to head for three straight days in minicamp against the former Arizona State Sun Devils standout and was really impressed, especially with his strength.

“He’s a big guy,” Gilmore told The Athletic’s Jeff Howe of Harry. “I pressed him one time and tried to get my hands on him, and he threw them down. He’s really strong. He’s just got to keep working. He’s got great coaches and great players around him. It’s not easy for any of us. But if he keeps working, he’ll be in the right place when it’s time.”

Gilmore admits that he probably isn't the right player to help him too much with technique, but will if he sees something that needs adjusting. He thinks that the Patriots' coaching staff has done a great job with him so far and will continue to.

“He’s kind of quiet, and I’m kind of quiet,” Gilmore said. “He’s a good dude. I’m just trying to focus on my technique. If I see something, I’ll tell him. Other than that, I feel like he’s got the right coaches to help him become a great player. As of now, he’s strong. Even when he catches the ball — we haven’t been tackling yet — I’m sure he’ll be hard to tackle. I’m looking forward to competing against him every day.”

Harry has been really hard on himself in practice if he makes a mistake and that is something that Gilmore loves to see. The good news for the Patriots is that Harry gets to go against Gilmore every day and that should make both of them better.
