With 9:29 remaining in the fourth quarter of the New England Patriots' Thursday Night Football victory over the Indianapolis Colts, quarterback Tom Brady made history yet again, this time accomplishing two incredible feats in the same play.

The Patriots were up 24-17 and faced a first-and-10 at the Colts' 34-yard line. Brady faked the handoff to running back Sony Michel, and stood in the pocket, scanning the field for what seemed like an eternity, before winding up and firing the ball downfield to new receiver Josh Gordon, who had two defenders draped over him. Gordon came down with the touchdown, for his first score as a member of the Patriots.

That touchdown was Brady's 12th of the season, and the 500th of his career. He joins Peyton Manning and Brett Favre as the only players in league history to accomplish that feat, although Drew Brees will likely join them, possibly this week, as he currently sits at 496. Brady's toss also gave him touchdown passes to a record-setting 71 different players, passing Vinny Testaverde for that title.

It's fitting that Gordon was the player who caught Brady's 500th touchdown, as back in 2010, Favre threw his 500th to the legendary Randy Moss, and Gordon is the most similar player to Moss that the league has seen.

Brady maybe 41, but he is showing no signs of slowing down, and has many more records to claim. Up next is passing Favre's 508 TDs and eventually Manning's 539. Brady is also not too far behind in total passing yards, as he trails Manning's 71,940 mark by just over 4,500 yards.

Brady will be making more history very soon, and no matter what your opinions are on him, we are all fortunate to be able to witness a legend of the game.
