Miami Heat legend and future NBA Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade was really impressed with what he was seeing from New Orleans Pelicans small forward Brandon Ingram this season.

Ingram made his first All-Star team and has established himself as one of the best young scorers we have in the game.

On his IG live segment on Friday, Wade talked about Ingram's breakout season with the Pelicans:

“B-Ingram, obviously he's an All-Star this year,” Dwyane Wade said about Brandon Ingram. “He's having a heck of a season. Well, he was having a heck of a season in New Orleans.

“I just wanna see him continue to get better, man. I think he has some…now he set a standard for himself as an All-Star and what he can do. I just wanna see him just keep going, man.”

Ingram was averaging 24.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists for the Pelicans prior to the NBA suspending play. The 22-year-old was shooting 46.6 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from beyond the arc and 85.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Whenever the 2020 free agency period begins, Ingram will become a restricted free agent once the Pelicans offer him his qualifying offer. Multiple reports have said that New Orleans is expected to match any offer Ingram receives.

In the post-Anthony Davis era, the Pelicans are building around Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Jaxson Hayes.

Ingram, who was the second overall pick in the 2016 Draft out of Duke, has career NBA averages of 16.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 246 games with the Los Angeles Lakers and Pelicans.
