Sidney Crosby is in a league of his own. The Pittsburgh Penguins star has done a wonderful job this season as the ace of the team. He's helped them get to the NHL playoffs once again, and they're holding their own and then some against the best in the business.

On Thursday night, we got to see some more glimpses of Crosby's brilliance. The Penguins star scored a goal against the New York Rangers in the second game of their series. That goal put him in some elite territory, putting Sidney Crosby on the same list as legends like Alex Ovechkin and Wayne Gretzy. (via ESPN Stats and Info)

Crosby's goal came at a pivotal time for the Penguins, who were down 3-1 at one point during the game against the Rangers. The star collected a rebound from Bryan Rush to knock in his 70th career post-season goal. Out of all the active players, only Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals has a higher total than him.

Unfortunately for the Penguins, that Crosby goal would be the last score of their game. The Rangers had an excellent defensive stand after that, not allowing their opponents to gain any more ground. New York would be aided with Artemi Panarin and Frank Vatrano, who scored two more goals to get to the final score.

With that win, the Rangers tied up their series against the Penguins at one game apiece. This is shaping up to be an interesting series. Can Crosby will Pittsburgh to a series win?
