Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers have gotten off to an impressive start though the first two week of the 2020 NFL season. After being a relatively unknown quantity coming into this year, the Steelers are 2-0 and are looking like a potential playoff contender in the AFC. Obviously, they will have to continue proving that, but there are a lot of reasons for optimism.

Pittsburgh struggled mightily last season following Roethlisberger's elbow injury. No one truly knew what to expect from the veteran quarterback coming back this year. However, he has passed all of the tests with flying colors so far this year.

Now, the Steelers are facing another test in Week 3. They are set to go up against Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans. Unfortunately for the Texans, they had to start their season against the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens, which resulted in them having an 0-2 record entering this matchup.

Don't let that 0-2 record make you think the Texans aren't a good football team. They have an offense capable of producing big numbers with Watson, David Johnson, Brandin Cooks, Will Fuller, and Randall Cobb leading the way.

This will be a test that the Steelers need to pass. Beating the New York Giants and Denver Broncos is not something to get too carried away with. Coming through with a win over the Texans would be a nice step.

All of that being said, let's take a look at four bold predictions for the Steelers this week as they look to make a statement against the Texans.

4. James Conner Keeps Up His Impressive Play From Week 2

If the Steelers want their offensive to play up to its full potential, they will need consistency from running back James Conner. He has shown flashes of stardom, but has not been able to keep it up week in and week out.

Last week against the Broncos, Conner carried the football 16 times for 106 yards and a touchdown. He also caught two passes for 15 yards in the game. Pittsburgh needs a very similar game this week against the Texans.

Conner will continue his impressive play and will come through for his team. He will rack up 90 yards and a score to go along with three catches for 20 yards. That production will take a lot of pressure off of Ben Roethlisberger and the aerial attack.

3. The Steelers Sack Deshaun Watson Five Times

T.J. Watt and the Pittsburgh defense wreaked havoc on Drew Lock and Jeff Driskel last week. They ended up recording seven total sacks against the Broncos. Watt himself came through with 2.5 of those sacks.

This week, the Steelers will have a much tougher task of getting Watson down. He is much more elusive than either Lock or Driskel. Despite the extra challenge, Pittsburgh will get the job done defensively again with five total sacks.

Watt will come through with two more sacks and the rest of the defense will rally around him. If the Steelers can continue getting to the quarterback like they have so far this season, they have a good chance to be serious contenders come playoff time.

2. Ben Roethlisberger Puts Together Another Impressive Performance

Through the first two weeks of the season, the Steelers have been very encouraged with what they have seen from their 38-year-old quarterback. Roethlisberger has completed 68.5 percent of his pass attempts for 540 yards, five touchdowns, and just one interception. He may not be a young star anymore, but he is still playing like an elite quarterback.

Houston does not have a great secondary, which bodes well for Big Ben to have another impressive game. He will make the most of the matchup and will lead the Steelers to a high-scoring game.

Roethlisberger will end up throwing for 325 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. That kind of production will put the Steelers in a great position to move to 3-0 on the season.

1. Pittsburgh Moves To 3-0 With A Hard-Fought Win

Beating the Texans is not going to be easy. Houston will have a lot of desperation trying to get their first win of the season. Unfortunately for Houston, they are not as good as the Steelers.

Pittsburgh will win this game convincingly behind an impressive offensive performance and a defense who doesn't give up yardage easily. They will move to 3-0 and will prove that they are a team to watch this season. No one will be able to argue against a 3-0 record.

It will be interesting to see where the Steelers end up this season. They don't look like a Super Bowl contender on paper, but with the way they are playing they might just shock us. We are predicting that the final score of this game will end up being 35-28.
