It didn't take long for Bradley Beal‘s demands for a five-year, maximum contract from the Washington Wizards to be met.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Wizards and Beal have agreed to a $128 million-plus deal over the course of five seasons. The report of the deal was initially made less than 20 minutes after free agency had opened up.

It was a couple weeks ago that it originally came out that Washington was preparing to offer Beal the max.

While they could sign him as early as Friday afternoon, they have an incentive to delay the deal.

Washington attempted to sign Beal to a cheaper contract earlier in the season, but the sharp shooting guard bet on himself and succeeded with his strong play.

Beal recently spoke out on why he feels he deserves the max:

“I want to be valued the right way. I feel like I’m a max player and that’s what I’m looking for. If Washington can’t meet that requirement then I may be thinking elsewhere. I’m pretty sure that they probably won’t (let me go). At the end of the day, that’s where I want to be. I think a deal will probably get done but you just never know.”
