For all the drama that's surrounded Houston Rockets star James Harden in the past few months, the conspiracy theories in regards to his weight fluctuation is a topic on a smaller scale. Still, many around the NBA are very curious as to where the on-again, off-again weight comes and goes, as the former MVP has been seen in pictures with what appears a 20-pound weight difference in pregame and in-game photos.

“It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia ” star Rob McElhenney chimed in on Twitter with a reaction to the controversial photo of Harden, but he opted to take Harden's side in the controversy. The 43-year-old actor posted pictures of himself through the years on the FX program reflecting the conspiracies surrounding Harden at the moment.

Conspiracy theorists attribute Harden's “weight gain” to his time spent in Las Vegas and Atlanta instead of reporting to training camp on time. Those theories would hold some weight if Harden posed the same stature in the actual game. Harden claimed he was in those cities working with trainers.

The easier answer in the now would be that Harden's warm-up gear is clearly the common denominator in his overweight pictures, but Harden's lack of professionalism throughout the offseason won't let him live down that conclusion so easily.

There's no denying that the Arizona State standout still wants out of Houston as soon as possible, and he's even done his due diligence to give the front office additional destinations to which he'd prefer to be moved.

In the meantime, Harden has alluded to the fact that he'll perform to the best of his abilities while he's still with the Rockets.
