After one quarter in Game 6, the Houston Rockets seemed to be in good shape. They were hitting three's, and the Golden State Warriors couldn't seem to hit anything. In the second half, everything changed, and it didn't take long to realize that a Game 7 was inevitable.
Losing a Game 6 in that fashion would be very hard on a lot of teams, but for Gerald Green and the Rockets, they still have confidence that they can win Game 7.
“Obviously with Chris being down, that's [tough], but we're a confident team,” Rockets reserve swingman Gerald Green said via ESPN. “We're a confident bunch. What we did in that first half, that shows what we can do. We can even do more than that. We still made mistakes, but we've just got to put a string of 48 minutes together.”
If the Rockets can get Chris Paul back, that would be a huge boost for Houston, but it seems like there is some serious doubt if that will be the case because of the right hamstring injury that he suffered near the end of Game 5.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the chances of Paul being available are “less likely than likely but working every angle to try.”
If he isn't able to go, it will probably be Eric Gordon that will get the start who was really good in Game 6, especially in the first half.
Gordon played 34 minutes putting up 19 points, shooting 7-for-12 from the floor, and 4-for-6 from deep. He is going to have to have another game like that if the Rockets want a chance.
