James Harden's offseason took an interesting turn after he was named in a police report following an altercation at a nightclub. According to TMZ Sports, the Houston Rockets' guard's group was involved in an altercation and Harden saw a woman filming the ordeal. Harden took her phone and tried to destroy the evidence.

Harden is named in the police report of the altercation, but he is not considered a suspect. It appears that he snatched the phone out of the woman's hands in an attempt to prevent her from selling the video.

This is a tough situation to dissect. On one hand, it must be difficult to be an athlete and a celebrity when eyes are constantly on you. But on the other hand, if Harden did anything physical to the woman, there may be consequences.

It isn't exactly clear what happened here and the story could just fade away. But regardless, this isn't what the Rockets want to see from their MVP.

Harden is gearing up for another shot at the Golden State Warriors with some new pieces around him. Chris Paul and Clint Capela return, but Trevor Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute depart. In their place, the Rockets picked up Carmelo Anthony. Melo is certainly not the same player he once was, but his ability as a spot up shooter and a stretch four could play well alongside the pick-and-roll juggernaut that is James Harden and Clint Capela.

The Rockets next season should be interesting but they're hoping Harden's offseason gets less interesting.
