The Houston Rockets take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night in Houston, and the oddsmakers are expecting a big night from Rockets superstar guard James Harden.

James Harden, who leads the league in scoring right now, is averaging a whopping 43.2 points per game over his last 13 games. The reigning MVP is coming off back-to-back games where he scored over 56 points, so it's not a surprise the oddsmakers have set the bar at a historically high rate for Harden on Saturday against the LeBron James-less Lakers.

In 41 games for the Rockets this season, Harden is averaging a staggering 35.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 8.5 assists. The six-time All-Star is shooting 43.8 percent from the field, 37.5 percent from beyond the arc and 86.5 percent from the free-throw line.

Harden is a scoring machine and the Lakers' defense isn't that good, so expect The Beard to put on a show on Saturday. LA is still without superstar LeBron James and point guard Rajon Rondo, making their defense even more susceptible to a Harden scoring explosion.

The Rockets are without some of their big-time players in All-Star point guard Chris Paul and Clint Capela, which is why Harden's scoring numbers have been off the chart lately. Whether you like the way he plays or not, Harden is much-watch TV.
