Nick Young had some choice words for the media for what he claims as unfair treatment of Houston Rockets stars James Harden and Russell Westbrook.

Over the past couple of years, Harden has been one of the best players in the league. He's just coming off an epic for the Rockets, which saw him score at least 30 points in 32 straight games. Unfortunately, he failed to win his second consecutive MVP, with the media voting for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Beard has stated on multiple occasions that he felt he should've won the 2019 MVP, even blaming the media for manipulating the narrative that Antetokounmpo deserves the award.

As for Westbrook, he has averaged a triple-double for the third straight season in 2018-19, all with the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, after winning the MVP in 2017, he was never in the conversation the following years. A lot of people felt that it was just him padding stats — sentiments that were further magnified every time OKC lost early in the playoffs.

Now, Harden and Westbrook will be playing on the same team. However, as good as they are in scoring, rebounding and passing, people are still not convinced that they are capable of leading the Rockets to a championship. In fact, a lot of experts are saying that their pairing won't work since they are both volume shooters who need the ball in their hands to be efficient.

Harden and Westbrook have a lot to prove next season, and it seems only winning the Larry O'Brien Trophy can change the perception on them.
