Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta believes the team's chemistry is “going to be great” with James Harden and Russell Westbrook leading the charge.

Harden and Westbrook played together on the Oklahoma City Thunder and have been close friends for years. The Rockets held a mini camp at UCLA last month and will hold another one before they open camp next month to build camaraderie within the team.

“It's so important to have the right chemistry,” Fertitta told Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. “These are two guys that grew up in L.A. together and have known each other most of their lives. And they can talk to each other. You can say things to each other and the other would not get offended because you're lifelong buddies. And so I think the chemistry's going to be great this year.”

James Harden has led the NBA in scoring the past two seasons. Russell Westbrook, meanwhile, has averaged a triple-double three years in a row. The Rockets have two of the best players in the league leading the unit.

It's no doubt going to take time for the two stars to jell on the court, but the main thing Tilman Fertitta is looking forward to is Harden and Westbrook using their friendship to work together and lead the Rockets to an NBA title.
