Houston Rockets superstar James Harden has scored the most points in the league so far this season. The referees, however, decided to take two points off his total on Tuesday night in one of the most bizarre calls this year.

With the Rockets up 104-89 in the fourth quarter against the San Antonio Spurs at the AT &T Center, The Beard found himself wide open on the break.

He casually went up for a strong left-handed jam which visibly dropped inside the hoop. However, the impact of his dunk caused the ball to loop right bacl — making it look like it rattled out of the ring.

Harden tried to get the possession back, but the ball sailed out of bounce off of Harden after Dejounte Murray also tried to regain control.

Officials later ruled the play as no basket, which could have been critical for the Rockets as the Spurs miraculously managed to force an overtime.
