The night belonged to Houston Rockets superstar James Harden as he bagged the first Most Valuable Player award of his career. It was a celebration of Harden's year-long elite play that resulted in the league's best regular season record and a trip to the Western Conference Finals for Clutch City.

After being hailed with the league's top individual honor, Harden spoke to comedian Anthony Anderson with Chris Paul alongside the two. On this occasion, a defenseless Harden (all pun intended) became the victim of a savage punchline from the host.

The Rockets superstar was put on the spot right then and there with his teammate, Paul, also being held captive by the wit and timing of Anderson.

For years, Harden has been ridiculed for having countless of mental slippage on the defensive end that are all too glorious for Shaqtin' A Fool producers. Whether it's exerting zero physical and mental effort or simply lulling himself to sleep, Harden has fallen prey to his own tendency.

However, all these haven't stopped the former Sun Devil from attaining his status as one of the top players in the NBA. Time and again, his offensive capability had overshadowed his defensive shortcomings. Harden is a triple-double machine who owned averages of 30.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 8.8 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.

At one point last season, Harden even made NBA history by notching the first and only 60-point triple-double. He's that good and he is the league's best player. But for a short moment last night, Anthony Anderson was the real MVP.
