Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Ben Simmons nearly broke the internet on Friday after he made a corner 3-pointer in the Sixers' scrimmage game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

After the game, Simmons spoke with reporters about his new-found comfort in shooting the deep ball, via Ky Carlin of Sixers Wire.

“Just playing,” Ben Simmons explained. “We’ve been practicing, we’ve been working to find that corner. I’m very comfortable over there and shooting those shots so I’m glad my teammates found me.

“I think just changing my style of play. I’m just taking what they give me. I’ve been working on the 3-ball, shooting so I’ve been feeling comfortable. I’m still getting to the rim, I’m still going to attack with all my guys. I’m just trying to play my game while trying to evolve.”

The 76ers' next scrimmage game is on Sunday against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Philadelphia head coach Brett Brown and the rest of the players on the team are anxious to see if Simmons will continue to shoot from beyond the arc moving forward.

One player who is hoping that will be the case is Sixers superstar big man Joel Embiid, who often doesn't have a lot of room to operate with in the post due to Simmons' lack of a jump shot. If the lefty can knock down a few triples from the corner here and there, the Sixers' offense becomes that much more explosive.

Simmons has only made two 3-pointers in his NBA career. The Sixers are hoping that number will rise during the games down in Orlando.
