Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown has seen major improvement coming from rookie point guard Markelle Fultz in recent weeks, as he recently increased his shooting range to the three-point line, upon working past a shoulder injury.

Fultz was seen taking some corner threes for a start, showing a more set shot than his very athletic jump shot as a freshman at the University of Washington.

“I think he's getting better,” said Brown after Tuesday's shootaround, according to Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia. “I think it looks like it's getting more comfortable.”

Yet the man at the helm would remain noncommittal (as has the rest of the Sixers organization) of a potential timeline for his return.

“It's all internal discussions we're going through right now and just trying to accurately assess his situation and we're discussing that as we speak,” said Brown.

The Sixers only have 20 more games on the schedule, rapidly approaching the end line with a fierce battle between the third and eighth seeds, separated only by 3.5 games.

Bringing in Fultz during this last stretch would be a large risk for the team, given his unfamiliarity with the system and the lack of on-court chemistry with his teammates after playing only four games and being shut down indefinitely.

Fultz's jumper is looking smoother by the minute, but a playing stint doesn't make much sense this season with the Sixers fighting for the highest possible seed and looking to fine-tune their rotation prior to the postseason.
