The Philadelphia 76ers have a chance to eliminate the Brooklyn Nets in Game 5. Head coach Brett Brown is aware of the controversies that have piled up in the first-round series. His marching orders for his team is simple.

Brett Brown knows that the Nets will not go down without a fight. Being considered as the underdogs in the series hasn't intimidated them one bit. Amid all the scuffles, flagrant fouls, and fines handed out, Brown shared his strategy on how to keep his squad locked in.

“There's no secret how this game tomorrow will be played, given the complaints that have surfaced in regards to refereeing and what inevitably will be sort of the reaction to the game,” Brown said Monday, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN, about Game 5 in the series that Philadelphia leads 3-1. “I want to get ahead of that as the coach. Anticipate different things like that. Share stories with my team so we can just stay very linear, very straight line. Just play through noise, and that's what interests me the most in how to close out a series.”

Before Brett Brown was the head coach of the 76ers, he spent some time abroad and was an assistant coach for the San Antonio Spurs under Gregg Popovich. Given his wealth of basketball experience, it would be interesting to know what stories he will share with his team. More importantly, will Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, and the rest be able to play through the noise?

Game 5 between the 76ers and the Nets will be on Tuesday at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
