It has been nothing short of a troubling start to the rookie campaign for Philadelphia 76ers guard Markelle Fultz.
This has reached the point where his concerning shooting form led to the focus shifting to his ailing shoulder injury that has put him out of action for an indefinite amount of time. However, veteran forward Robert Covington stated that the Sixers have continued to keep Markelle Fultz active mentally despite his health issues, according to Jessica Camerato of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
The 19-year-old may be sidelined with a shoulder injury, but the Sixers are no stranger to their young players being out of the mix. The prior experience with both Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons are serving a guideline tool to help in bringing along Fultz.
There have been many concerning aspects to Markelle Fultz' situation, but the Sixers don't appear too deterred by any measure. The organization is taking this approach as another way they can help him get through his early-season struggles once he eventually returns to the court.
With much of the 2017-18 season still left to be played, there is plenty of opportunities for Fultz to get back on track.
