Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade plays his final game in Philadelphia on Thursday, so Sixers star small forward Jimmy Butler decided to share a special message for his friend and the future Hall of Famer.

Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade both went to Marquette University and were teammates for one season with the Chicago Bulls in 2016-17. The two stars are very close off the court and often train together in the offseason.

There won't be any more training for Wade after this season, though. The three-time NBA champion is retiring from the NBA after this season ends. D-Wade and Butler will likely swap jerseys after the game on Thursday.

For a 37-year-old with a lot mileage on his body, Wade is playing pretty well this season. The 13-time All-Star is averaging 14.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 43.3 percent from the floor, 32.3 percent from the 3-point line and 69.7 percent from the foul line.

The Heat enter Thursday with a record of 26-30, good for eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

In 46 games with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Sixers, Butler is putting up 19.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists. Philly is 37-21, fourth place in the East. A lot of pundits believe the Sixers have a great chance at winning the Eastern Conference after acquiring Tobias Harris from the LA Clippers.
