After seeing all of their Killer Bs — Bryant, Brown and Big Ben — change teams or go down with an injury, one would expect the Pittsburgh Steelers' offense to struggle in search of a new identity. A large part of the Steelers' struggles has come from trying to find players that can fill those roles. Donte Moncrief has embodied the team's inability to find a groove, and Mike Tomlin knows this.

In his first season in Pittsburgh, Donte Moncrief has been riddled with drops, with five coming in the first two games. Those drops led to him being listed as inactive in a Week 3 matchup against the undefeated San Francisco 49ers.

According to Josh Alper of NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk, Moncrief was put back on the active roster for Monday night's game against the Cincinnati Bengals but was only apart of three snaps, not getting a reception in any of them. Moncrief's catch percentage currently sits at 27.3% but in his years in Indianapolis, he showed he could be an effective receiver.

He has obviously lost the trust of head coach Mike Tomlin and will have to earn it back in the snaps he is active for. Tomlin stated that Moncrief's best shot at becoming more involved in the offense is for him to remain prepared:

With four games now in the books, Moncrief will look to improve on his three receptions on the season. The Steelers are searching for a consistent receiving threat to line up alongside Juju Smith-Schuster.
