James Washington saw his workload with the Pittsburgh Steelers increase this season. However, he will have to sit out for quite some time in order to nurse his injured shoulder.

Ian Rapoport confirmed the news that Steeler Nation will be without one of their young wideouts.

Washington hasn't had the best of starts this season as he only managed to gather 140 passing yards on nine receptions. Three of the five games he played saw him complete less than 50 receiving yards on a low completion rate.

It would be easy for him to blame his poor form on some other thing. However, the 23-year-old wide receiver is keeping his chin up, knowing that his poor start will eventually come to an end.

“I just have got to stay positive and make the plays that come my way. . . . It’ll happen,” Washington said, via the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “Just stay confident in everybody on this team and trust that everything that happens, happens for a reason.”

The Steelers he may return to following his recovery may look a bit different, though. Behind The Steel Curtain's Dave Schofield reported that head coach Mike Tomlin is looking to make personnel moves within the coming days:

“Those things being said,” Tomlin stated, “there may be some subsequent moves from a personnel standpoint to fill out the ranks, but I don’t have any imminent details there.”

Steeler Nation hopes that Washington will come back stronger after his injury and will be ready to contribute to the team after he recovers.
