All offseason we've heard about the Pittsburgh Steelers' departures. All of the talk about Pittsburgh has revolved around Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell leaving, but we've heard very little about the guys the Steelers have added in free agency.

Some people are paying attention though, including Steelers cornerback Joe Haden. So far the team has added receiver Donte Moncrief, cornerback Steven Nelson, and linebacker Mark Barron. None of those guys are household names, but they're all capable of being very solid players, and Haden is excited.

“I definitely know Moncrief,” Haden said. “I've played against him several times. Really really talented receiver. I know about the cornerback, too. My guy, Nelson, I've been watching him. He's been a really really really good corner. I knew he was going to get paid somewhere, and I'm glad it was with the Steelers.”

“And Mark Barron, being in the SEC, I've always watched him. He was a really good talent. I met him as soon as he got drafted, and I kind of know all those dudes, and I was expecting them to sign with teams, and I'm glad they are with us,” Haden said, per John Newby of 247Sports.

There's been a lot of negativity surrounding Pittsburgh this offseason, so Steelers fans must be relieved to see something like this and get a reprieve from the “doom and gloom in the locker room” narrative. If the Steelers are going to be able to fend off the Browns and Ravens in the AFC North next season, they'll need Haden to have a very strong year.

He'll be playing alongside Nelson, and the pair will form a very solid cornerback duo. The Steelers have quietly made some shrewd moves, and have the potential to be a lot better than most people think next season.
