The Pittsburgh Steelers can not seem to catch a break in regards to avoiding any further drama this offseason. Former running back Rashard Mendenhall took to Twitter to give his perspective on the Ben Roethlisberger-Antonio Brown saga. Some of the players currently on the team, Maurkice Pouncey and Ramon Foster, also went on Twitter in hopes of ending all of the conflict.

The Steelers have done plenty of great things this offseason like signing some much needed help in areas that needed it. However, everything the team has done to get back on track for next season has been greatly overlooked by drama with current and former players.

Foster and Pouncey are clearly tired of all the unnecessary negativity surrounding the team and have come to a mutual agreement that all further discrepancies will be handled by the two of them. The constant distractions and speculations have taken a toll on a team that is usually free of drama and one would think now that Antonio Brown is elsewhere, the drama would be behind them.

Unfortunately, that has not been the case and the Steelers continue to a be a part of frequent controversies.

The Steelers are in one of the league's most competitive divisions and after losing two key players, their focus should be on getting ready for 2019 and not a continuous stream of distractions. The old-school mentality the team perpetuates is being overlooked by how they have been represented in the media lately.

It's about time for the team to move forward and put the negativity aside to compete next season.
