The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Friday that former All Pro cornerback Joe Haden will not play this Sunday vs the Baltimore Ravens.

Haden has not played since Week 10 in a tie against the Detroit Lions. In that game, Joe Haden suffered a foot injury early in the 2nd quarter. He had only played nine snaps in the game before sustaining the injury. Haden initially went into the medical tent and was seen jogging on the sidelines, but was unable to return to the game.

It was initially thought that the injury would be day to day. Here we are three weeks later and Haden has been ruled out once again.

In the two games has missed, the Steelers allowed 41 points in both games. First, Justin Herbert shredded the Steelers to the tune of almost 500 yards, passing and rushing.

The following week, Joe Mixon and the Bengals hammered the Steelers as well.

Prior to the injury, Pittsburgh's defense had played relatively well this season. He had started all eight games, piling up 24 tackles out of the secondary.

The 32-year-old struggled with injury problems early in his career. But then he found a groove, missing just three games from 2018-20. He especially thrived in 2019, earning a Pro Bowl selection after tallying five interceptions. He totaled two interceptions and 12 passes defended in 2020.

It was once thought he elite playing days were over when the Cleveland Browns released Haden in 2017, but he has shown during his time with the Steelers that he is far from done.

Without Haden in the lineup, Pittsburgh will try to slow down a Ravens attack that has problems of its own.
