Team USA had it going on on Thursday, as they handily defeated the Australian national side in a pre-FIBA World Cup exhibition, 102-86.

One of the many highlights of the entertaining contest was the Boston Celtics connection between Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, as the two youngsters combined to come up with a tremendous alley-oop play on the break:

The Boomers were hosting Team USA in front of a 51,000-plus capacity crowd at Marvel Arena in Melbourne. This high-flying play definitely gave the crowd something to cheer for, as it was one of the many outstanding moments from this highly anticipated exhibition matchup.

Brown started for Team USA, and the 22-year-old swingman logged 11 points, six rebounds, and a block in 20 minutes of action. His Boston teammate, Tatum, came off the bench for 11 points, two 3-pointers, three rebounds, four assists, and a steal in 23 minutes played.

However, it would be another Celtics star who would lead the way for Team USA in this one, with Kemba Walker accounting for a game-high 23 points on 9-of-22 shooting, along with two treys, six rebounds, and an assist.

This is a trio we should be seeing a lot of for Boston in the coming season, and it does appear they have been able to figure out their chemistry early on. This stint with the national side is definitely something that will work in the favor of not only these three individuals, but for the entire Celtics team as well.
