The United States of America has seen brighter days. Last night, the second presidential debate took place and the initial question Anderson Cooper asked Republican Party nominee Donald Trump threw him into quite the frenzy.
After brushing off his claims of grabbing women's genitals as “locker room talk,” plentiful professional athletes immediately brought their concerns about Trump's validity to light. Among professional basketball players in the US, it seems they do not share the same sentiment.
Locker room?

Obviously, Jamal Crawford and other NBA athletes cannot back Trump up on his “locker room talk” claim. In fact, it effectively embarrassed hard working athletes who respect women in all regards.
This is painful

Is this a joke?

It certainly was a painful response to watch. Trump began deviating from the issue at hand, bringing up unrelated allegations about the threat of ISIS and how there are bigger problems to worry about. A classic move by the Republican nominee, but it doesn't look like he's fooling many people any more.

At least a few athletes had funny responses to Trump's meltdown.
All this heavy breathing seems more locker room-esque than anything #debate

But at the end of the day, this is a presidential candidate. As much as we can poke fun at, not care, or concern ourselves with the drama Trump brings to these debates, he represents an entire party of people. Their values may not be reflected in every decision Trump makes, but it's all or nothing at this point. Let's just hope whoever becomes president doesn't run this great country into the ground.
