The 2016 Western Conference Finals was the series that put Steven Adams on the map for the whole world but for all the wrong reasons. The Oklahoma City Thunder were facing off against the Golden State Warriors for a chance to reach the NBA Finals. Everyone remembers two things from that series, the Thunder blew a 3-1 series lead and Draymond Green kicked Adams where the sun don't shine twice.

Adams opened up about his couple run-ins with Green in his new book, “Steven Adams: My Life My Fight.”

According to Adams, the first shot was not completely flush so although it hurt it didn't hurt as bad as the second one which landed flush.

“The first kick was more to the shaft, but the second was straight to the balls. A direct hit right to my little fellas. If my stomach wasn't shriveling up inside me, I might have been more impressed with the accuracy.”

It is interesting in the chapter about his repeated run in's with Greens foot he said that they were accidentally and didn't try to put blame on Green for what happened. There was a lot of talk right after the incident if the shots were intentional and it appears that Adams doesn't think they are, or at least trying to keep it civil with Green until his playing days are over and then maybe he will give his true thoughts on what happened.

Adams and Green haven't had any major run in's since 2016 but with the magnet that seems to be on Green's foot for the balls maybe it will come up again in the next few years.
