Steven Adams of the Oklahoma City Thunder is always ready with a quip or a quote when interacting with media, and that wittiness extended to what the 26-year-old center did over the All-Star break.
As you can see, the New Zealand native was most excited about his training his dog during his time away from the NBA, and it was delivered with such candor that one can’t help but love the hulking Kiwi.
Thunder fans certainly do, as he is now easily the longest-tenured member of the Oklahoma City Thunder following the offseason trade of Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets, and his steady production and surprising flashes (including his recent first-ever made triple, which was a wild, one-handed, ¾-court heave) make him an extremely important part of the team.
His amusing interviews also make him something of a general fan favorite, which is why his name being on the trading block was certainly of some concern to Thunder.
Now that he’s back with OKC after a long break, expect more unexpected barbs from the Kiwi big man.
