The UCLA basketball team has high hopes coming into every season, but so far this year, the Bruins have not met expectations. Through 17 games this season, UCLA is 7-10 overall and they are 2-4 in Pac-12 conference play. This is a bit of a surprise as the Bruins have some talented players on the team, and head coach Mick Cronin took UCLA to the final four just a few years ago. He has had a successful career, but he has his work cut out for him this year in terms of turning around this team.

Time is running out on the UCLA basketball team to turn their season around. Sitting at 7-10 in the middle of January is not good, and at this point, it would be very surprising to see the Bruins make the NCAA Tournament. It's going to take a lot to get this season back on track, and Mick Cronin knows that.

“No,” Mick Cronin said when he was asked if one game can turn the season around, according to a tweet from Ben Bolch. “You have to have multiple wins.”

If UCLA is going to turn the season around, those wins need to happen now, and the Bruins have a good stretch of three games to finish the month that could build a lot of momentum. UCLA finishes out the month with road games against Arizona State and Arizona, and then they will be back at home against crosstown rival USC.

The Bruins are certainly good enough to compete with the Sun Devils and Trojans. Arizona State is 10-6 and USC has been struggling mightily this year as they sit with an 8-9 record. Winning on the road against Arizona, however, is a different story. UCLA will be huge underdogs in that game, and it will be a very difficult contest to win. However, those are the types of games that good teams in college basketball win. If the Bruins want to turn things around, they probably have to win all three of those games.
