Despite being a famous professional basketball player, Los Angeles Lakers center JaVale McGee makes sure to still show love to the people around him who don't get much appreciation. Recently, McGee threw a nice little birthday surprise for his long time housekeeper Maritza who turned “35.”
In the video, McGee made sure to keep hush about what he had in store for Maritza, who has been helping out the 7-footer for years. McGee went out to the supermarket, bought her a cake and even added in some tequila as a bonus. Upon getting back home, the 3-time NBA champion made Maritza close her eyes and led her to the kitchen where he had the cake and tequila laid out.
Maritza, of course, was surprised by the whole ordeal and couldn't stop screaming in happiness over the McGee's sweet gesture.
The 32-year old posted the entire surprise on his vlog:
People like Maritza certainly deserve much more appreciation than they usually get. It's great to see someone like JaVale McGee doing just that.
