Anthony Davis is back on the floor Friday night for the first time since January 18th. And while many things have changed for he and the New Orleans Pelicans in the interim, his game apparently remains exactly the same.

Poor Taj Gibson. Mere NBA mortals like the Minnesota Timberwolves veteran need to gather themselves before rising for dunks. But Davis? Despite the fact that he jumps well after Gibson on the possession above, the six-time All-Star is still quick, long, and explosive enough to throw Gibson's dunk attempt right back to the floor.

Shot-blocking isn't the only all-world facet of his game Davis showed off against the Timberwolves. He had 32 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and three blocks on 11-of-15 shooting when he left the game with 3:14 left in the third quarter. Due to his stated desire to play elsewhere going forward, though, Alvin Gentry elected against putting Davis back on the floor in the fourth quarter, ending his night after just 25 minutes of play.

Fortunately for the Pelicans, they were able to hold off the Timberwolves en route to a hard-fought victory abyway, in large part due to a pair of crunch-time buckets from Julius Randle, who otherwise struggled. Interestingly, Davis was met with more than boos throughout this game, routinely receiving muddled cheers from the home crowd. Maybe Pelicans fans understand why he doesn't want to play in New Orleans? Regardless, it sure will be fun to watch Davis wreak havoc on both sides of the ball wherever he's playing next.
