The Minnesota Vikings will be trying to get a winning streak going against the Seattle Seahawks on primetime in Week 13. Unfortunately, it appears they will be shorthanded once again on offense without wide receiver Adam Thielen.

The Vikings were optimistic that Thielen would potentially be able to make his return from a lingering hamstring injury. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, he has been ruled out for Monday night:

A surprise: The Vikings have ruled Adam Thielen (hamstring) OUT for Monday night at Seattle.

Thielen's absence undoubtedly deals a crushing blow to Minnesota's chances of potentially securing a huge victory on the road. As a result, the rest of the receiving corps will need to step their play up once again for quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Thielen has missed three of the last four games while dealing with the injured hamstring. Even in the one game he did play, he lasted only seven snaps on offense before having to come back out in the loss versus the Kansas City Chiefs. ever since then, Minnesota has seemingly opted to take a cautious approach with their Pro Bowl wideout.

Thielen had been in the midst of another stellar year after hauling in 27 receptions for 391 yards and six touchdowns prior to the injury. At this point, the Vikings are hoping they can continue to secure wins so that he can make a full recovery in time for the end of the regular season going into playoffs.

The onus will fall on wide receiver Stefon Diggs to step up as the No. 1 option in the passing game once again.
