The Minnesota Vikings will be holding onto offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski for the 2019 season after he recently interviewed for the Cleveland Browns head coaching position. The Browns ultimately went with their own offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens.

Stefanski took over the Vikings offensive coordinator position later in the season after the team fired former offensive playcaller John DeFilippo in his first season. DeFilippo was disappointing with a high powered offense many imagined would be an elite threat this season.

Stefanski will return to an offense headlined by quarterback Kirk Cousins and wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. Stefanski also helped drastically turn the run game around and in turn running back Dalvin Cook was amongst the league rushing leaders down the final stretch of the season.

The Vikings will have a whole offseason to get Stefanski prepared and there's a huge change the young offensive coordinator can turn the potential super offense around for next season. Stefanski has been with the Vikings organization for a long time now.

Stefanski got his first chance with the Vikings in 2006 as the team's assistant to the head coach and has moved his way up the ranks each year. Stefanski has acted as the team's assistant quarterbacks coach, tight ends coach, running backs coach,  and quarterbacks coach in addition to his recent job running the entire offensive play calling.

Stefanski could potentially be one of the league's best offensive coordinators depending on how next season goes for the Vikes and he'll surely receive some more head coaching offers when time permits.
