More and more injuries are coming out following Week 2 of the NFL season.

This time it's Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr.

The seventh-year pro will be forced to miss the remainder of the season with a torn pectoral muscle, according to Ian Rapoport.

#Vikings LB Anthony Barr has a torn pec and is out for the season. A difficult loss in a tough start to the season.

This is a big blow to the Vikings defense. Barr is a four-time Pro Bowler who is one of the key pieces of the newest version of the Purple People Eaters. The Vikings looked to be one of the better teams in the NFC North going into the season but has gotten off to a very poor start, starting the season 0-2. This injury will not help Minnesota get back on track.

Week 2 was not a good one on the injury front, with multiple key players going down for most or all of the season. Some notable examples include the two top running backs in the league in Carolina Panthers Christian McCaffrey and New York Giants Saquon Barkley. Multiple quarterbacks suffered injuries as well, including San Francisco 49ers Jimmy Garoppolo and Denver Broncos Drew Lock. The biggest name on the defensive end to go down is the 49ers' Nick Bosa.

These injuries, while disappointing to see, are not surprising considering the limited training camp and lack of preseason games due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The NFL will now have to contend with how to limit further injuries moving further into the season.
