Andrew Sendejo is reuniting with the NFL club with which he spent eight of his first nine seasons.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Minnesota Vikings have claimed the veteran safety off waivers, one day after Sendejo was waived by the Philadelphia Eagles.

In nine games with the Eagles this season, Sendejo logged 26 tackles, a sack and an interception.

The 32-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Rice University, went undrafted but eventually landed with the Dallas Cowboys in 2010, where he appeared in just two contests.

He made his way to the Vikings in November 2011, participating in three games. By 2013, Sendejo had been named a starting safety for Minnesota, registering 84 tackles and a pick that season.

Overall, Sendejo went on to spend eight years in Minnesota, with his best season coming in 2017 when he totaled 77 tackles, a couple of interceptions and seven passes defended.

Last season, injuries limited him to just five games, and in March, he signed a one-year deal with Philadelphia.

The Eagles waived him in order to nab a compensatory draft pick that they would have forfeited had Sendejo been on their roster in Week 10.

Minnesota is waiving rookie safety Marcus Epps to make room for Sendejo.

The Vikings have gone 6-3 through nine weeks, most recently falling to a Patrick Mahome-less Kansas City Chiefs club by a score of 26-24 last Sunday. They sit one game behind the Green Bay Packers for first place in the NFC North.

Minnesota will take on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.
