With the Minnesota Vikings ultimately defeating the Carolina Panthers by the score of 28-27 in a comeback victory, Minnesota also managed to make some history in the process while also improving to a nearly 5-6 on the season.

Even with Week 12 yet to fully wrap up, there have already been more double-digit comeback wins in the NFL this season than in any other season ever. The Vikings came back from 11 points down against the Panthers, which was the 35th double-digit comeback win by a NFL franchise this campaign.

The Vikings trailed for the majority of their Week 12 clash with the Panthers, as Carolina scored not one but two defensive touchdowns on Sunday afternoon. Not only that, but the same Panthers player scored defensive touchdowns on back-to-back plays.

anthers rookie safety Jeremy Chinn tallied consecutive scoop and scores, which allowed Carolina to carry a lead into the fourth quarter. However, the Vikings scored an impressive 18 points in the final period after being shut out in the third quarter–which was preceded by a 10-point first half.

The Vikings were notably without superstar wide receiver Adam Thielen, who was previously placed on the team's COVID-19 reserve list–making Sunday afternoon's comeback win over the Panthers that much more impressive. In the absence of Thielen, rookie wideout Justin Jefferson shined again to the tune of seven receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns.

Although the playoffs are still a bit of a reach for the Vikings in the crowded NFC at the moment, Minnesota has once again kept itself alive heading into Week 13.
