The Minnesota Vikings have been mentioned as a team that could pursue Trent Williams in a trade, and their interest appears to be very legitimate. According to ESPN's Courtney Cronin, Minnesota has already made a trade offer for Williams.

With two first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, there was a chance that the Vikings selected an offensive tackle in the first round. However, they decided to select Justin Jefferson out of LSU with the No. 22 pick of the draft.

Then, after trading back to the No. 31 pick, Minnesota decided to choose Jeff Gladney out of TCU. Seeing that they didn't address the offensive tackle position, the Vikings could be manufacturing a trade for Williams.

Just a day before the draft, it was reported that Minnesota was among the front runners to land the veteran left tackle. With that in mind, Cronin is reporting that the Vikings sent an offer to the Washington Redskins for Williams before the draft began.

However, the Vikings offered a day-three pick for Williams, and the Redskins weren't interested. Since Williams has been discussed in trade talks, Washington has been looking for a first or second-round pick.

Heading into day two of the draft, the Vikings have 12 draft picks remaining in the 2020 NFL Draft. Furthermore, Minnesota has three draft picks in the second or third rounds of the draft. Provided that, they could use one of those picks to make a move for Williams.

While they discuss what they want to do on day two of the draft, the Vikings also have their attention on Williams. After over a year of turmoil with the Redskins, Williams could find a new home in Minnesota during the 2020 NFL Draft.
